The Ghanaian senior national soccer team, the Black Stars’ players, have commended the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for assisting to provide dialysis treatment in the country.
The Black Stars of Ghana have praised the National Health Insurance Authority for their timely intervention in subsidising dialysis treatment in Ghana. “The government of Ghana and the people of Ghana are grateful for the efforts put in by the NHIA to develop and improve health care in the country,” an elated Captain Thomas Partey said as he took his time to applaud the efforts of the NHIA.
The Black Stars also thanked the NHIA for partly sponsoring dialysis tests, which have helped many Ghanaians. They also hailed Dr. Aboagye for being the newly appointed NHIA CEO while appreciating the effort of the authority in arranging health care for everybody.
Speaking for the team, Captain Thomas Partey said, “We are thankful for the NHIA’s efforts to enhance health delivery in this country, and their contribution to the provision of dialysis treatment has indeed saved many lives. Medical service providers are instrumental in arresting cancer when found early.”
This celebration emphasised the NHIA’s 20th anniversary through a ceremonial event involving the Black Stars, NHIA officials, and health care professionals. Some of the reported gains and accomplishments demonstrated the Authorities efforts in the growth of the ratio of people covered with health insurance and enhanced standards of health among people in Ghana.
