A medical doctor operating in the Northern Cape has been convicted for not declaring his income taxes to the South African Revenue Services (SARS) for more than seven years.
The Hawks, commonly known as the Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigations, said 55 years old Fabian Royston Tun, was convicted of contravening Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011.

Legal Administrative Officer Nomthandazo Mnisi affirmed the fact that the accused was convicted on eight charges of personal income tax non-submission and forty-two charges on Value Added Tax (VAT) returns non-submission.
The Hawks added that the matter was moved to the 30th of July 2024, to handle the sentencing process.
