Tanzania is set to host the 11th East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition in Dar es Salaam from March 5 to 7, 2025.
The conference, themed “Unlocking Investment in Future Energy: The Role of Petroleum Resources in the Energy Mix for Sustainable Development in East Africa,” will showcase a wide range of technical presentations reflecting developments in the oil and gas industry in East Africa and around the world.
According to the East African Community (EAC), a regional bloc based in Arusha, Tanzania, the conference will provide a platform for stakeholders in the oil and gas sector to engage with senior government officials and decision-makers.
The event will also facilitate discussions on the legal and policy framework and the overall business environment prevailing in the region.
The EAC member states have agreed to cooperate in the joint exploration and development of energy resources and promote investment within the sector. This cooperation aims to promote the optimal exploitation of both renewable and non-renewable energy sources for the mutual benefit of East Africans.

The conference will offer a unique opportunity for stakeholders to interact with EAC senior government officials and decision-makers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing in the oil and gas sector. With a combined population of over 300 million, the EAC member states recognize the importance of energy in realizing their vision for sustainable development.
The East African Community is an intergovernmental organization comprising eight countries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, and Tanzania. The EAC’s objective is to promote economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region.
The 11th East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition is expected to attract participants from across the globe, including industry experts, policymakers, and investors.
