Mensah, the official DJ of Sarkodie, has finally explained Sarkodie’s performance schedule at this year’s Olympic Games, which corrected some reports hinting that he was performing at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Games in France.
In an earlier interview on Accra-based Asaase Radio, DJ Mensah outlined a line-up of concerts with himself and Sarkodie on the bill that took place around that time, an indication that it was a misconception.
He took to X (formerly Twitter) to correct the notion, indicating that although there are events in Paris scheduled at the same time as the Olympics, with Sarkodie’s performance on the lists, it will not be at the opening.
Let me clarify this before I’m misinterpreted: There ‘MIGHT’ be an event in Paris around the same time the Olympics is happening, but it’s not during the opening ceremony. This is to provide more clarification on what is circulating.”
DJ Mensah announced an array of concerts involving himself and Sarkodie. However, he has since confirmed that one of the concerts he listed, which sparked speculation that Sarkodie might perform during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, was wrongly stated.

He clarified that Sarkodie is slated to perform at a separate event in Paris around the same time as the Olympics, not during the opening ceremony, as previously assumed.
