The nominations for the Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Awards are now open for this year, as the annual event seeks to honour successful women entrepreneurs and founders throughout Africa.
AWIEF is a pan-African non-for-profit organization that has as its major aim, the promotion of women’s economic marginalization through bridging gaps and providing the necessary support towards business leadership and entrepreneurship across Africa.
The AWIEF Awards are held every year to celebrate African women who are playing a vital role in the continent’s growth and development by applying their leadership and managerial skills and creativity in business. The categories include Young Entrepreneur Award Category, Tech Entrepreneur Award Category and Social Entrepreneur Award Category.

According to AWIEF, the prospective nominees for the AWIEF Awards must be the emerging and experienced female entrepreneurs who have shown prowess in management, leadership, innovation, and success in business.
“This is your chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible women making a difference in their industries and communities,” said AWIEF.
The 2024 AWIEF Awards winners will be honoured at an event featuring the awards ceremony and gala dinner on 29 November 2024, at CTICC, Cape Town, South Africa. Men and women can make nominations for the award until August 5.
