Nigerian actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, and his wife, Nneoma Nwaijah, have announced the arrival of their second child, a baby boy.
The actor made the announcement on his official Instagram page. He shared a photo from his wife’s maternity shoot and another photo of his newborn child’s feet.
“My wonderful people, please rejoice with us my wife and I have welcomed a bouncing baby boy. To God Be The Glory.”
This comes six years after the birth of their first child in 2017 and thirteen years after their wedding in 2011.
In an August 2023 interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actor, explained his decision to keep his family life private.
He stated,
“I have children, but I decided to put them aside because I’m the celebrity, they are not. I just want them to be free because the moment everybody gets to know them, it would affect them. And I don’t want that.”
Ikedieze further elaborated on his stance, saying,
“So, I hide them, even my wife, apart from our wedding announcement that I made, so that she can go to market do every other thing without much ardour.”
Chinedu Ikedieze is a Nigerian actor, entrepreneur and investor. He is best known for playing alongside Osita Iheme in the 2002 film Aki na Ukwa. He has featured in over 150 films in a career spanning over 22 years.

In 2018, he was acknowledged as a distinguished guest to Miami, Florida, in the United States. In appreciation, he said,
“From the bottom of my heart I say thank you to Miami-Dade, country office of the Mayor and the county commissioners for honouring me as a distinguished visitor to the city of Miami, Florida. You have just given me a key to more success in life. He therefore encouraged all to believe if themselves if the world believes in them.”
