Ngabi Fashion Nsamba Clan Wins the Title of the 2024 Airtel-Bika Tournament
The Airtel Bika 2024 tournament was held today at Wankulukuku Stadium, where the Ngabi Nsamba clan cheered and came out as the champions. The family got the title by having to outplay the Mpindi Clan in a 1-0 football match, though they gave the clan a good run for the title.

The Airtel-BIKA tournament, a clan football tournament, is a way of assembling clans for cultural and socio-economic activities. The essence of the tournament has taken on a new dimension; it has turned out to be the epitome of the kingdom and the country at large.

Ali Balunywa, the Sales and Distribution Director at Airtel Uganda, expressed his delight and congratulated all the teams and players for showcasing great talent and resilience throughout the tournament.

“It’s exciting to see such talent on display at this tournament. I congratulate the 2024 champions, the Ngabi Nsamba Clan. The dedication, hard work, and resilience showcased by the Bika teams have been truly humbling,” Balunywa said.

“Through the Airtel Bika Tournament, we’re glad to witness the growth of sports like football and netball, which have a huge following among Ugandans. This, in turn, creates a valuable pool of talent for our national teams to scout for representatives at both national and international levels.”

He added, “Airtel Uganda takes pride in such activities that not only promote togetherness among people but also serve as a source of entertainment within communities. These platforms also give the youth a ‘Reason to Imagine’ by providing opportunities to showcase their talents, which can later make them successful sports figures in the country.”

The last battle was conducted right on the stage, with an added crowd of spectators that instantly started rooting for their clans. Allowing no room for compromise during the battle, both sides stepped onto the field with a clear goal to win.

Fans celebrating the victory of the Ngabi Nsamba Clan—the fans danced to songs and news where they were celebrating their victory. The captain of the clan expressed happiness with the words, “We are very happy to have emerged as winners of this particular tourney; it will only prove that our team has really worked hard and dedicated our time towards this tournament.”
