The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Konga.
According to sources at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), detectives from the Homicide Section have visited the scene of the incident and will conduct a forensic analysis of the evidence found there.
The nation is still mourning the loss of Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Konga, who passed away recently. According to reports, Imudia died after jumping from a building, with sources suggesting that he may have been struggling with personal issues.
Reports indicate that Imudia had called his US-based brother before his death, giving him instructions on how to distribute his wealth in the event of his passing.
The police investigation is ongoing, and officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Imudia’s death. The Lagos State Police Command has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
Imudia, who was born in Delta State on April 28, 1979, graduated with a Master of Engineering from Aalborg University in 2000 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Management from the Mikkeli Institute of Technology in Finland in 1997.
He graduated from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences with an MBA in International Business Management twelve years later. Having worked for NTC and Nok as a design engineer and solution manager, respectively, Imudia went on to become the managing director of Nokia, a major international technology company.
Imudia left Nokia after eight years to take a position as Alcatel OneTouch’s regional director for Nigeria and Central Africa. He left Alcatel to become the CEO of Konga, the massive Nigerian e-commerce company, which he held from April 2018 until October 2022.

His death has sent shockwaves through the business community, and his former colleagues and associates have been paying tribute to his memory.
As the investigation continues, the police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and help piece together the events leading up to Imudia’s tragic death.
