The pan-African banking institution, Ecobank Group, has invited participants to begin entries for the seventh Fintech Challenge, which offers a total of $50,000 in prize money.
Ecobank is an independent pan-African banking institution which provides financial solutions to clients in the consumer, commercial and corporate banking fields in 35 countries throughout Africa.
Its annual Fintech Challenge provides new and mature fintechs an opportunity to become a strategic partner of choice to Ecobank across 35 countries, and is in its fifth round. The startups that are most likely to benefit from Ecobank’s innovation focus are those who are well aligned with the bank’s strategic goals, which gives a total of US$50,000 in cash up for grabs as well as the chance to scale and implement your fintech solutions with Ecobank’s help.
Startup fintechs and developers from any of Africa’s 54 countries and Africa-focused fintechs from around the world can submit their products to participate in the Fintech Challenge here until July 7.
The top ten competitors who will reach the finals will each be given a place in the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship and the finals, as well as the awarding ceremony, will be held in October 2022. Last year, Cameroon team Koree won the competition.
