The draw for the qualifiers for the 2025 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is scheduled for July 4 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The competition draw will be done at SuperSport Studios in South Africa, with the teams to be drawn into twelve groups of four each. The top two teams in each group qualify for the finals that will run between January 10 and February 8, 2026, in Morocco.
The qualifiers are set to kick off in September 2024. The first round of matches will run from September 2–10. The second round is scheduled for October 7–15, while the final round will conclude the qualifying campaign on November 11–19.
The legends of CAF will also be present, along with all representatives of the teams as well as members of the Local Organising Committee TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.

The draw coming up would determine the groups for the preliminary round in March 2024, with the group winners making it through to the group stage, joining the 44 highest-ranked teams on the continent.
