Tiwa Savage, Nigerian female artiste, has stated why Olamide, the legendary rapper and YBNL boss, turned down a startling N100 million offer she made for a single verse.
Tiwa claimed Olamide declined the money because he regards her as a sister and realises how difficult it is for a woman to thrive in the industry.
She shared this revelation on the X app (formerly Twitter), stating, “Olamide rejected the 100 million I offered him for a verse.”
She wrote, “I was talking to his management; I didn’t want to talk to him directly because he would want to do it for free. I spoke to his team, and they charged 100 million. I was willing to pay.”
“When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, they said me, and he just said NO. He wouldn’t take it. He said I am his sister, and he knows how difficult it is to make it in the industry as a woman. That’s how he denied the money, and guess what? He gave me the verse for free. Good people exist, and Badoo is one of them.”
Tiwa Savage featured Olamide in her popular song “Commona,” alongside producer Mystro Sugar.
The single is from Tiwa’s album “Water & Garri,” which was released in May 2024 alongside her debut film of the same name.

Olamide, also known as Badoo, surely brought dimension to the song with his melodic voice and fascinating rap lyrics, satisfying both fans and music enthusiasts.
The artiste revealed that Badoo provided the song verse for free, declining any payment for the track.
