APA Insurance partnered with Hollard Health, an insurer from South Africa, to launch an international healthcare cover that is suited for individuals, families as well as SMEs and corporate entities.
It involves Africa, India, Europe, and other worldwide jurisdictions with five comprehensive plans.
This would be done with the main intention of enhancing the health status of the members of the organization, hence reducing; health care demands and spending, according to Ashok Shah, Group CEO of Apollo Investment Limited.
“With APA and Hollard Health’s combined expertise, innovative solutions and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, we are setting a new standard for healthcare coverage in the region.”

The solution will be available under the HealthMov app, and it will provide health monitoring, lifestyle and behaviour assessment, education information, goal, and process.
Tobe Hope, the Chief Executive of Hollard Health, stated that, “Because we know that Africa’s demands are unique, we are committed to helping the continent thrive by offering the right cost-effective health insurance for its diverse needs.”
Hope further stated that with the assistance of HealthMov, members can check their heart rate, breath rate, stress level and BMI just by moving their faces and their body.
“This information is then collated to provide feedback, suggestions, and rewards. Members have a virtual doctor, personal trainer, health coach and mentor in their pockets.”
APA Insurance’s parent company Apollo Investment Company signed this deal with Hollard International last year whereby Hollard bought a 20 percent share.
