The EFCC had, on April 17, charged Chiefpriest before the court on a three-count charge of allegedly spraying and tampering with Naira notes during a social occasion at the Eko hotel, Lagos.
The agency had accused him of acting in violation of the CBN guidelines on how to handle the Naira notes, as it prohibit spraying or tampering with the currency.
Chiefpriest had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was subsequently granted bail in the sum of N10 million with two responsible sureties. His lawyers had defended him rigidly, insisting that the allegations were frivolous and that he had done nothing wrong.

It was a piece of surprising news when the counsel for Chiefpriest explored the possibility of an out-of-court settlement with the EFCC.
This disposition of the court terminates the case, and now he is free to meet his business and personal life without the allegations hanging over his head.
