Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu claims that disgruntled police officers are plotting against him after he exposed their alleged corruption.
According to Gwamnishu, his photo was circulated in a police WhatsApp group, labelling him an “enemy of the police.” This comes after he accused certain police officers of accepting bribes from Andrew Ochekwo, the prime suspect in the disappearance of two women, Celine and Afiba.
Andrew Amechi Ochekwo, a businessman in Aba, Abia State, who died after arrest in connection with the disappearance of Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, two ladies who went missing on April 27, 2024, is wanted in the United Kingdom (UK) for sexual assault.
Andrew Amaechi Ochekwo, the main suspect in the disappearance of Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, was wanted for a sexual assault case in Milton Keynes, UK.
Also, according to LIB, Celine and Afiba, who met Andrew on Facebook, went missing after travelling from Port Harcourt to Aba, Abia State, to visit him. However, he was killed while allegedly trying to escape arrest.
After his death, Gwamnishu, an activist, took up the case to find his accomplice for the purposes of justice and accountability. He wrote on his X account:
“I woke up this morning with several calls coming from Police Officers warning me to be careful, I was surprised why all the calls are asking me to be careful till I got this message,” he said.
“My picture, name was posted on a police WhatsApp group and I was declared an enemy of the police and that anywhere I am seen around their station, I should be treated as a green snake on a Green Grass.
“My life is in danger,” he added.

The Public Relations Officer of Delta State, Bright Edafe, reassures him.
“kindly ignore this post, we are investigating to find the author of this post, but I believe it must have been done by a recalcitrant officer who karma may soon hit if he or she does not change his or her ways. Just ignore. Cheers,”he said.
