A male goat identified as Akmed was forcefully removed from a home in Mountview – Verulam in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa, after it attacked a dog and primary school pupils.
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), in its statement on Friday, 26th April 2024, its officers were called out to the suburb after a female caller requested assistance. She informed the unit that a goat was attacking her dog.
When RUSA officers arrived at the location, they were informed that the goat had earlier attacked some students on their way to a primary school.
The officers from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) removed the goat and took it to their station after several unsuccessful efforts to find its owner.


The reaction unit later informed the public that the owner of the goat had been found. “The owner of the animal has been identified. The goat named Akmed was handed over after ownership was verified”.
