In a recent development, the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement (UPA), Medical Supply and Technology Management has unveiled the third edition of Africa Health ExCon – the largest healthcare exhibition in Africa. Beginning its journey as Egypt’s gateway, the agritech event, which is under the patronage of President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi will be held at Al Manara International Conference Center & Egypt International Exhibition Center from June 3rd to June 6th, 2024.
The theme of the upcoming Africa Health ExCon is “Your Gate to Innovation and Trade.” The exhibition seeks to harness global players, exchange knowledge, and support the growth of the medical industry in Africa. The event allows the participants, including healthcare practitioners, industry stakeholders, and global and continental players, to discuss various investment prospects and foster growth in the healthcare industry throughout the continent.
Considering that this exhibition will have over 500 participating companies from different countries and more than 60,000 visitors from over 100 countries, Africa Health ExCon 2024 will provide an idea of the most popular products and services in the various fields of healthcare. Its partners in Egypt’s healthcare industry are Grifols-Egypt, Medtronic, Pfizer, GE Healthcare, Roche, Siemens Healthineers, Novartis, HV Diagnostics, AstraZeneca, and the American Chamber of Diagnostics, Imaging & Medical Instruments Association.
The Egyptian government will pump 100 percent support into the event to assert its importance as a healthcare hub in the region. According to Bahaa El-Din Zeidan, the Chairman of the Union of Palestinian Associations (UPA), the goals of the celebration complies with the African Union Agenda 2063 with referred vision of the continent’s prosperity based on complex and sustainable development.
When speaking to Kamal Ebeid, the Executive Director of the event – Africa Health ExCon, Ebeid emphasized that the event holds a strategic position in Africa’s Health care industry. He underlined its function in the cooperation with the parties with the purpose of reaching the sustainable development objectives and the attraction of foreign investments to the sector provision.
Continuing the tradition of previous years, Africa Health ExCon 2024 will become a landmark event for the development of the healthcare sector in Africa. It will also offer a model environment for sharing knowledge and best practices between the public and private health care systems, which will ultimately foster successful advancements in healthcare throughout Africa.
